Hey Lauren, What’s going on?
Thank you for asking!
2024 has been a year of such wonderful growth.
In February, I premiered a short film at LA’s SoHo House entitled Just Girl Things where I played an incompetent roommate who “accidentally kills her boyfriend… oops!
In May, I starred as Hermia in an all queer & transgender production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Thespihonest Theater Company.
In August, I originated the role of Jessica Contreras in the World Premiere of Josefina Lopez’s newest play, A Woman Named Gloria, based on the life and work of Gloria Molina. (More Information below)
2023 was such a crazy year for me.
I have become an award-winning actress and writer, winning three awards for my performance as Begum Akhtar in Is Krishna There? at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. I even toured it at NAMBA Performing Arts in Ventura, California.
I played Leonata in Much Ado About Nothing and Natasha in Three Sisters.
Ms. Curet is also an alumna of the project Girls Be Heard where she performed at the NYC Fringe Festival and the United Nations at a young age. Other credits include: Sharon Graham in Terrance McNally’s Master Class, Dream in Therapy, Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, Madeline in Madeline, Eve in Godless, and Lauren in According To This…
Lauren is a graduate of Stella Adler’s The Art of Acting Studio in Los Angeles, CA. Other education includes The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, and Columbia University.
